SnapShrink (“we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our mobile application.

1. Information We Collect

  • Camera Access: We request access to your device’s camera so you can capture photos directly within the app for compression, cropping, rotation, or scaling.
  • Media/Storage Access: We request access to your device’s photos and media (via READ_MEDIA_IMAGES) so you can select existing images for editing. This access is strictly user-initiated.
  • No Personal Data Collection: SnapShrink does not collect, store, or share your personal data, images, or files. All processing (compression, cropping, scaling, rotation) is performed locally on your device.

2. How We Use Permissions

  • Camera: To allow you to capture new photos for editing.
  • Read Media Images: To load user-selected images for compression, cropping, rotation, scaling, or conversion.
  • Storage/Media: To save compressed or processed images back to your device.
  • Sharing & Cloud Uploads: You may choose to share processed images with other apps (e.g., WhatsApp, Gmail) or upload them to cloud storage (e.g., Google Drive) in future versions. All such actions are optional and initiated by you.

3. Data Security

We do not upload or transmit your images or personal data to any servers owned by SnapShrink. All actions remain offline and under your control. If you choose to share images through third-party apps or cloud services, their privacy policies will apply.

4. Third-Party Services

SnapShrink uses Google AdMob to display ads. AdMob may collect certain data, such as device identifiers, ad interactions, and approximate location, to provide relevant advertisements. This data is handled in accordance with Google’s Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy.

5. Children’s Privacy

Our app is not directed toward children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any data from children.

6. Data Retention

SnapShrink does not store your images or personal data. Any images processed in the app remain only on your device unless you explicitly share or upload them.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be reflected with a new “Effective Date.”
